Overview

This STORM 420 Series encoder converts the output from most STORM keypads into an RS-232 signal for communication with your computer's serial port. When a key is pressed, the encoder will send the ASCII code for that letter, number or symbol.

​

This STORM 420 Series encoder can also be used to drive the LCD on all STORM 5000 Series Display Units. Data can be sent from the computer's serial port via the RS-232 connection to provide user instructions or echo the key presses.
