 OKdo OTII-ARC-001

Otii Standard, Qoitech Otii Power analyzer, DC Power Source, Datalogger

Overview

Otii Standard:

Power supply, monitoring and analysis in one easy to use and feature-packed product, the Otii by Qoitech is the ultimate tool for any developer aiming to design highly energy efficient IoT projects. Otii includes the Otii Arc measurement unit and the Otii software for Ubuntu, Windows & mac OS, download. Please note this product comes with a lifetime subscription to the Otii Software. Connect Otii Arc and power your device directly to the DC input or battery connectors. It will act as both an up to 5V DC power supply and high-resolution voltage and current measurement unit. Otii software will give you real time measurements and generate statistics based on the entire data set or small subsections even during the recording process. You can record and compare the changes in energy consumption due to changes in your software and hardware in one and same Otii project. Share the data with team mates and suppliers.

Features:

Records currents, voltages and UART logs and displays them in real time as charts and interactive measurements and comparisons

Recordings synchronized with UART debug logs

Enables long continuous recordings, recording time limited only by computer storage

Sample rate of up to 4k samples per second.

Measurement range of 100nA-5A

Requires an external power supply if going beyond USB capabilities

***Note: If using a Yellow USB port or with a lightning symbol, often they can power up to 1500+mA without the need for an external power supply

Data + Power via USB. 2.1mm DC jack for external power

ADC subsystem measurements with differential measurement range of -81.9175 mV to 81.92 mV

Two Sense pins that can be used to compensate for voltage drop in cables or as extra voltage sensors

Monitor multiple projects and Otiis' from the same computer

Two General Purpose Inputs

Two General Purpose Output

Crop, down sample & share

Today, based on statistics, tighter calibration limits and updates in the firmware, we can proudly announce an update to the technical specification

The new accuracy for current measurements is ±(0.1% + 50nA) for currents below 19mA and ±(0.1% + 150uA) for higher currents

Previously we have stated ±(1% + 0.5uA) for current measurements and ±(1% + 10mV) for voltage measurements

Recommended for Basic Use:

IC Clips – these will fit into the Arc black and red outlets, which then connect to your device under test. You could use any standard banana plug style connectors though.

If available, use a Yellow USB port or one with a lightning symbol to increase the power supply limit from 500mA to 1500mA (sometimes, these ports can go up to 3Amps).

Recommended for Advanced Use:

If you are powering devices beyond USB power constraints and would like to interface with the 14 port header, then read on.

27W Switch Mode Power Supply – set this variable supply to 7.5 Volts and your Arc will be able to power the device under test well beyond the USB limitation.

SMD Clips and Through Hole Clips (Red / Black) – the 14 pin connector on the Arc has standard 2.54mm pitch, so you can use any female headers and crimps to make your leads to suit your project along with stranded wire for better flexibility.

USB Type A Female Breakout – this is a useful combination for USB device testing. The female connector can then be used with any Type A cable, which adapts to a Micro B or other popular USB variants. To enable Otii Arc to power 5V devices, in the projects settings menu, disable Current “Auto range”. This will unlock the main voltage from 4.55V to instead be 5V back on the “Supply” tab for your project setup.
